Slava Stefanov and Jessica McMorrow are certified professional ballroom dance teachers. They are currently the top ranked competing Professional Smooth dancers in the Northwest. They teach students of all ages and levels and are also available for Pro/Am competition and to perform at special events. Slava Stefanov

Slava was born in Moscow. Soon after his birth, his parents moved to Sofia, Bulgaria, where Slava grew up and developed his dancing skills. He started dancing at eight years old and for many years he represented Bulgaria at ballroom dance competitions domestically and abroad, with great success. He turned professional in 2005. After living for a brief time in Norway, he received an invitation to live and work in Orange County, CA, where he later met his wife and dance partner, Jessica McMorrow-Stefanov.

After many years of competing successfully in the International Standard division, Slava decided to compete professionally in American Style Smooth, a related style of ballroom dance that allows greater creativity and freedom of movement. Together, Slava and Jessica are US National Professional Finalists and World Semifinalists in their highly competitive Professional Smooth division, which includes the elegant American style Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz. Slava is also a very successful Pro/Am teacher and competes regularly with his students, many of whom are champions in their divisions.

Jessica McMorrow

Jessica is a professional ballroom dance teacher and performer. She currently competes with her husband, Slava Stefanov. Together, Slava and Jessica are US National Professional Finalists and World Semifinalists in their highly competitive Professional American Smooth division, which includes the elegant American style Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz. Jessica is also a certified dance instructor with the U.S. Terpsichore Association. She has been dancing since the age of seven and is experienced in a variety of dance forms. Her early dance experience was in classical ballet, and she trained intensively as a ballet major at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts conservatory program. In addition to her dance training, Jessica holds a BA in history from the University of Washington. She was born and raised in the Seattle area.

Ruslan Kaliuzhnyi

Ruslan came to the United States from Ukraine when he was twenty years old. He has been dancing since the age of four. He is experienced in both International Latin and Standard, and currently competes in International Standard with his Amateur partner, Kseniya Sovenko. Ruslan recently appeared on the hit television show, "So You Think You Can Dance," and he and Kseniya will be representing the United States at their World Amateur Standard event coming up fall of 2014!

Ivan Rouskov

Ivan has been dancing since the age of twelve and is trained in both International and American styles. He has competed successfully as an Amateur in both Standard and Latin with his partner, Veronika Zaporojhets, in numerous local and out of state competitions. He currently teaches students of all ages and levels and is available for Pro/Am competition. Ivan was born in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Trained in Ballroom by International and American style ballroom and Latin champions, Ivan developed a style of dancing based on a solid, leading-edge dance influence and technique that he adjusted and used for social dance purposes, bringing him the opportunity to develop top-notch social dance skills necessary for his success on the social and competition dance floor, and later on in his teaching career.

In addition to his dance training, Ivan has competed in the Junior Olympics in downhill ski racing throughout his childhood.


 

Ossiel Josshua

Ossiel is trained in the social American style ballroom dances (Smooth and Rhythm), and specializes in teaching beginners. He has been teaching for the past several years, and he enjoys introducing others the fun and fulfilling world of dance. He believes that dancing has the power to impact his students lives in a positive way, whether their goals are to have fun dancing socially, to get exercise, to meet new people, or even to compete and perform.

Ossiel was introduced to the world of entertainment at the early age of 3, inspired by his mother, former Mexican Actress, Model and Dancer, Irma Sosa. Experiencing the life of entertainment via theater, television, and runway, Ossiel was guided by his mother to follow his passion. Under Irma’s wings, Ossiel took modeling and acting courses and went on later to participate in different youth and teen runway shows, print ads and modeling campaigns, as well as to participate in community theater and local television productions. Currently in addition to continuing to train and develop his skills in dancing, Ossiel Josshua is enrolled in the Acting program at Freehold Theatre Lab Studio. He has also been working on his 3rd passion in life, music, under the guidance of private vocal coach, Performer and book author (The Four Pillars of Singing) Robert Lunte.

Gleb Makarov

Gleb Makarov is a professional dancer, choreographer, coach, Member and Judge of National Dance Council of America foundation. Gleb participated in World and American Dance Championships in Standard and Latin dances. He was a three-time National Champion and finalist of many World Championships.

Gleb has 20 years of teaching experience. Couples trained by him participated in International World Championships and many of them were winners and finalists of the United States National and Regional Dance Sport Championships in Latin and Standard (ranging from pre-teens, juniors, and youth categories to adults and seniors.)

Alan Barney

Alan was born and raised in Provo, Utah. He began dancing in middle school on the Centennial Middle School Competition Team. He continued to dance on the Timpview High School Ballroom Competition Team, the BYU Youth Formation teams, and the renowned Utah Valley University's Ballroom Touring Team. In the Spring of 2015, Alan traveled with the UVU Ballroom Company to Europe to perform in various countries and to compete at the Blackpool Dance Festival Championships, where they won the World Standard Formation Team title.

Megan Rund

Megan was born and raised in New Palestine, Indiana. She began gymnastics at the age of three, competing nationally until the age of
seventeen. She then began ballroom dance and was awarded a scholarship to perform with the renowned Utah Valley University Ballroom Dance Touring Company.
