Ballroom Dance Instructor
Teresa began her dance journey as a little girl training in ballet and later pointe, going on to join and perform on her high school dance team. In college, Teresa fell in love with social dancing, particularly the Latin styles, which ultimately led her to ballroom dance. Arthur Murray is where she began her professional training, honing her skills and developing a deep love for American Smooth, Rhythm, and Latin social dances. Although Teresa never imagined she would one day make a career out of teaching ballroom dance, her passion for dance has been a defining part of her life.
Throughout her career, Teresa has reached significant milestones, competing in Future Champs, Rising Star, and Professional Open Smooth at Dance-O-Ramas in Seattle, Reno, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. One of her most rewarding moments was performing with her student at Superama, where he showcased his solo in front of an audience of judges and competitors. As a certified instructor, Teresa is passionate about sharing the joy of dance with students of all ages and skill levels. She strives to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident, inspired, and empowered on the dance floor.
When she’s not teaching, you can often find Teresa out social dancing. Teresa continues to perform, compete, and stay current with the latest trends and techniques in the dance world to be the best dancer she can be for herself and her students. She is thrilled to be part of the Briora Ballroom community and looks forward to helping students achieve their dance aspirations.
